Fun with Family

Back in August my family and I went to Carowinds for the day. First we went to the water park. My favorite part was the wave pools. I loved going to the deepest part with dad. Then we went to the rest of the park and rode the rides. My favorite ride was the picture below. I can't remember the name of it but it's AWESOME!The last ride we did was the River Rapids and my mom got SOAKED! We also brought some spending money and visited the stores on the way out. I got a cat poster and a 'croc' keychain with my name on it. We had a lot of fun!

After Carowinds we met Uncle Brad & Aunt Amy and my cousins at Fuddrucker's for dinner. We talked and played and had a lot of fun. My mom was freezing because she was still wet, so before we left, she changed into her pajamas! Then we started on the drive to Raleigh to spend the weekend with my Grandpa and Grammy.

We had a great time hanging out. My favorite thing is that Grandpa took us fishing!
We caught a lot of fish, but we let them go. Thanks Grandpa!

My Fantabulous Birthday Week!

My brothers both went to camp for a whole week and I was very excited because while they were gone, my mom and I would be spending the whole week together. AND this happened to be the week of my birthday! We did something special every day. On Monday we went to the zoo to take pictures. I brought my dad's camera. My mom downloaded Picassa and I edited them myself. Here are my two favorites:

Tuesday we got a Manicure and Pedicure. The pedicure was AMAZING! It was like a spa. I loved the massage chair!

Wednesday, we went clothes shopping at the mall.

Thursday was my birthday!!!! I went to work with my dad for the whole day. I had a lot of fun. He took me to lunch at 'M' Vista. It was delicious! That night mom took me to the Melting Pot. It was awesome! I was so full. The chocolate was the BEST!

Friday, we went to see Wall-E. It was so funny.

Saturday, after picking up Kai from camp, we went to lunch at Macaroni Grill where I got my presents. I got really cool stuff. I go some cat toys that I asked for because I celebrate my cats birthdays on my birthday. I got a calligraphy set, a new watch, a stress 'Bob', and my favorite gift (which was a combination of allowance, birthday money, and my parents meeting me halfway), is an IPOD! WooHoo!!!!

Sunday I left for my own camp for a week. I love Camp Bethel. The only sad thing was that my camp week was over the 4th of July so I could not spend it with my family. But, we had fireworks at camp, too. They were amazing and so fun. One firework fell over just before it blasted off and skidded across the lake before exploding. It was so funny!

After I got home I was really grouchy for about a week (says my mom) until I slept in until 10am three days in a row. UGH.

It was the most amazing birthday I've ever had. It was awesome, and spectacular and hope my birthday next year will be just as cool!

P.S. Thankyou to Grandma, Aunt Edie, Grandpa & Grammy, and Mom and Dad for helping me get my awesome IPOD!!!!!

Catch-Up Post

I have not been blogging, so this is my catch up post from Christmas to now! (Most of these pics were taken by my mom)

Last year for Christmas, we went to Roan Mountain and had a lot of fun. Some of the things we did were we climbed to the top of Roan Mt., we went sledding, we celebrated Uncle Jerry's birthday which is on Christmas Eve, and we saw a whole lot of deer! The Christmas Tree was in our cabin this year. (I even got a mini-tree to keep up in the loft!) We had puzzles in our cabin and Grandpa's cabin, too. It was fun working on those. We also went for a walk by the Doe River.
I love Roan Mountain!

In February I went to my friend, Savannah's birthday party. I stayed up all night except for a 20 minute nap. I was awakened when my friend's squirted canned cheese on my head!

The day after Valentines Day we went to Myrtle Beach for the weekend to see my dad run a marathon. He qualified for Boston and he was VERY, VERY, VERY, happy! After the marathon we went to the Ripley's Aquarium. We also walked on the boardwalk and saw catfish. It was a lot of fun. Our last morning we took a walk on the beach before leaving. We collected some shells, too.
In April I go my spring pictures taken. I thought they turned out pretty good:
When my mom and dad went to the Boston Marathon I got to stay at my friend, Jessica's house for 5 days! We played Webkins, played with the neighbors cats, went swimming, and hung out. I had an awesome time. If you're reading this Jessica, HI!

My honor choir went to Carowinds to sing at the Choral Festival. We were rated 'Superior'! My friend and neighbor, Naomi, was there, too. We hung out together and went on lots of rides. We had a great day. In May, Kai and I had our Martial Arts Tournament. I won first place in Sparring and won some cool nunchucks.

One Saturday, the whole family spent all day working in the yard. We dug stuff up, planted bushes, it was hard work, but lots of fun.

My church has this banquet called the Ripple Awards where they throw the party for everyone who volunteers at the church. This last year, I've been a volunteer in the nursery, so I was invited. I got my hair cut, and wore a beautiful gown. I even borrowed my mom's jewlery! The food was awesome. We played cool games like 'Jeapardy'. We even danced! I had a lot of fun.
This month, after school ended, Grandma and Aunt Edie came for a vist. We went to Edventure, The State Museum, the Riverbanks Zoo, and we ate out a lot. We also went to the Japenese Steak House. It was very entertaining! I don't see them a lot, so I was glad they were able to visit. I'll miss them, but we're going to Connecticut to see them this Christmas. I hope there's snow!
I've had a fun first half of the year! I'll hopefully blog again soon!

So Cute!

Zoo Lights

We went to visit the 'Lights Before Christmas' at the zoo. They had "snow", we saw Santa, we roasted marshmallows on the thingamajig, and saw Polar Express in 3D. Also, we saw my picture that won second place in the Zoo Garden Photo Contest. That was cool.

The lights were very pretty. I hope we go again next year.

My Tardy Party

My birthday is June 26th. But everytime I tried to have my party it got postponed for one reason or another. I finally had it on November 16th!!! I invited three friends to spend the night. I had an American Idol Karaoke party. It was a lot of fun. The karaoke CD was High School Musical. We spent hours singing! (In the picture you can see that my cat is looking at the camera. I think she wanted to join the party!)The gifts I received were great, my friends really know me! The cake I had was really pretty and was an ice cream cake, it was heavenly!

I had a lot of fun at this party, if my friends are reading this....HI!!!

Walt Disney World

Sorry I've not written in a while. I been very busy with the life of an 11 year old girl! Let's go back to October where I left off.

*All pictures were taken by me unless otherwise indicated*

My family went to DISNEY WORLD for a week! It was SO much fun! We arrive late at night at our hotel and fell into bed. We stayed at The Port Orleans Riverside Hotel. It was very pretty
The first day we went to the Magic Kingdom. It had the most rides. We walked through the gates and there was the castle!
My favorite rides were Space Mountain, Carousel of Progress, Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean. One of the cool things we did was my brothers and I got our faces painted. It felt weird!

We had many fancy dinners and I felt like I would never be hungry again, and if you knew me you'd know how amazing that is! After dinner at the Liberty Tavern we watched the fireworks in front of the castle. It was so spectacular and amazing!

After the fireworks we stayed for the Electromagic Parade on Main Street. It was so beautiful! This is Mickey Mouse on his float:

We finally got back to the hotel at 1am and fell into bed dead tired AGAIN!

The next day we went to MGM Studios. My absolute favorite ride of all the parks was the Rockin' Roller Coaster. It goes upside down and around and around! We also went to the Indiana Jones show. The stunts they did were so cool. My dad was chosen to participate on stage. He was so good he got to do his own death scene! The scene director told him to have a long slow death, so he did. It was so long that the scene director said, 'I'm going to have to shoot you again!"

At the end of the day we saw the Fantasmic show. It was cool! But it was raining, which stunk.

The third day we spent some time at the hotel. We rented a sea racer and took turns driving it.

After that we went swimming in the pool which was so refreshing. It had a waterfall you could go under and a great big water slide that was very fun to go on!

After we got cleaned up we went back to MGM for dinner and another ride on the Rockin' Roller Coaster.

The next day we went to Epcot.

My favorite rides were Soarin', the Test Track, and Ellen's Energy Edventure. We went to the Living Seas with Nemo and saw a great dolphin show. It was so cool. We went on the 'Figment' ride and after that played with computers and stuff and we made this:

At the end of the day we watched the Lazer Light Show then went back to the hotel.

The next day we went to the Animal Kingdom.

My second favorite ride of all the parks was here at Mount Everest. This was a most awesome roller coaster.

We also rode the Kilimanjaro Rapids and got SOAKED! We went to Dinoland and rode a couple rides but my favorite was the huge playground. We got to dig up dino bones.

As we left we went to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. We LOVE the Rainforest Cafe!

The next day we went back to the Magic Kingdom to have breakfast at the Crystal Palace and to ride Thundermountain Railroad which was closed the first time we were here. We also saw a funny little skit with Captain Jack Sparrow. He looked so much like the real actor that at first I thought it really was him.

We then left Disney and took a little trip to Clearwater Beach to see where my mom grew up. Here I am with my feet in the Gulf of Mexico:

Our last full day we stayed at the hotel for a while and went swimming again. Then we rode a really weird bike called a 'surrey'.

Then we went back to Epcot for dinner, rode Soarin' again then went back to the hotel by 9:30. We were so tired!

Our last day, we went for one more quick swim while mom packed. Then we went to Downtown Disney and spent the rest of our spending money! It was fun. There were so many shops and places to explore. Here I am at the Lego Store:

Our vacation to Disney was so fun, I feel I could never have a more exciting adventure!
